The brief: grab the attention of online retailers and get them to consider the advantages of incorporating PayPal Express into their online checkouts. The major bugbear for them is lost sales due to shoppers abandoning their purchase during the payment process. The big advantage of PayPal Express is that it makes checkout quick and painless.
So we focused on that killer advantage: speed - and wondered what sort of other stuff you could speed up so you can get on with your life. Then we then asked retailers to suggest their own 5-second classics for us to make.
The client really ran with the idea, allowing us to build a trade show cinema booth, and even produce customised old-skool Viewmasters for targeted retailers. The campaign significantly increased PayPal adoption by retailers, was a finalist in the B2B Marketing Awards, and won an E3 Agency Network 'Best of Europe' gong.
